Ruella gave a dramaticized sigh of relief. "That's probably just as well... Imagine how much more he'd eat if he was any bigger."

"hmph, he eats plenty now" she said shaking her head at the dog as it continued to sniff around. Then smiling she looked up at Ruella "But he's worth it. And he's a fast learner"

Ruella smiled. "That would be useful... What does he do, exactly?"

"Just the usual" Shaquina said with a smile being purposefully vague.

"The usual?" Ruella raised an eyebrow, wondering if it was something she wanted to pursue any further, then deciding against it with a shrug.

"He's learning hunting, plus basic obedience. But he's got that down pretty pat. He's good at playing dead " Dalila answered with a grin amused that this woman seemed to be so interested in her or her dog.

Ruella laughed. "Playing dead must be a useful trick when he doesn't want to do something." she commented

Shaquina laughed softly "Your right, sometimes i wish i never taught it to him"

Ruella nodded. "My pets aren't into the whole 'trick' thing..." she explained. "Trinket's too young and Wilder... doesn't really like the idea. I think he's too much of a 'free spirit'"

Dalila smiled "Wilder is a horse?" she asked glad that her own mare had arrived safely, the notice the man had given her had informed her of the mares arrival. She had missed the mare terribly on the ride down, but she wanted to get here quickly and she couldn't risk traveling on the open roads during daylight, so she had been forced to travel by cart.

Ruella nodded. "He is," she replied. "Thinks he's more human though, I think sometimes." She smiled to herself to think of the tall black stallion - he really did have a personality.

Shaquina smiled "I barely think of my little mare as a horse at all. I'll be very glad to see her again, shes arriving tomorrow night" she replied flicking out the piece of paper again to go over the details, making sure that her and Morgan were going to arrive safely, they had taken longer then she expected. But from the letter everything was going fine, if slow.
"My little cousin is arriving also" Smiling to herself she looked Ruella over "He would have loved to meet you, he's always going on about meeting nobles, i think he thinks of them as old wives tales, nothing more then a figment of the imagination" Raising an eyebrow Shaquina grinned "Although you look real enough to me.

With a laugh Ruella replied: "Well I hope so... I've always considered myself to be real. Where are they travelling from? If you don't mind my asking?" Ruella was enjoying getting to know the thief girl - it was always good to see new faces around the city.

Shaquina shook her head smiling "Trebond, he's bringing my mare up for me"

Ruella nodded, though she wondered exactly how old this little cousin was - Deith herself seemed too young to be travelling around the country by herself, let alone a young lad in charge of something as valuable as a horse
