Shaquina walked through the crowd with a smirk on her face, aimed toward the people jumping over fires...idiots. Blending in with ease to the shadows she looked for any other shady characters, figuring that who she was looking for would do the same. Pulling her cloak over her head she smiled, this was the fun part.

Ruella stood by a food stall, talking and laughing with an old friend from her days as a student. She leant easily against the edge of the stall counter, not minding that her fine green dress was getting dirty.

Shaquina smiled and went to walk pass the woman planning on taking her purse, it was hanging by her side so as to be taken easily. Shaking her head she would have thought that people in the big towns would have more sense.
Leaning down she moved her hand in a barely noticeable movement and reached for the purse. Instantly she knew something was wrong and quickly let the knife hid in her sleeve fall into her hand at the ready. and spun around to face the woman, her face half concelaed by her hood.

Ruella turned, annoyed at the distraction, to find a young street girl, hand stuck to Ruella's purse. She mentally shook her head, wondering why the thief king hadn't told this particular subject that the Lady Ruella's bag was stroctly off-limits. "Is there a problem?" She asked, looking the girl up and down, trying to note any distinguishing features - a difficult task with the girl wearing her cloak.

Deith smiled instantly liking the woman, although that didn't mean she wasn't going to kill her if she didn't need to. Her lips just visible under the cloak smiled under the hood, Deith motioned her head toward the womans purse. "I seem to be attached to your purse. I don't know why someone would want such a sticky thing" Dalila carefully placed her knife back inside her sleeve but left it where she could access it easily

Ruella glanced down, feigning surprise at finding a hand attached. "Yes, you're right. Sometimes it sticks to me too." She smiled, carefully releasing the charms that held the girl's hand in place. "Are you new here?" She asked, emerald eyes curious

Ruella smiled back. "Then welcome to Corus, Miss...?" She tucked her purse under her elbow, away from temptation

Dalila paused not sure weather to lie or not. Then shruging she decided it wouldn't hurt "Deith. And you?"

Ruella paused as the young page arrived. She remained watching the thief girl even as she nodded briefly to Diane.

Deith lifted her chin slightly her hood still covering half of her face. Not happy about receiving such attention but amused by it at the same time. "who ever said i was a thief?" she replied with an amused air and a smirk on her lips.

Ruella looked down to hide a quick smile, then looked back up at Diane, feigning seriousness. "There's just been a misunderstanding is all, Diane." She said, watching Deith out of the corner of her eye. "I was just welcoming Miss Deith to our fair city,"

Deith looked toward Ruella again "And what a fair city it is, haven't seen any shady characters around have you?" Deith smirked "Besides me of course"

Ruella smiled back with humour, thinking of Evelyne and how she'd react to this new threat to her territory. "No," she replied. "No shady characters around here this evening."
