Shaquina had been planning this night for quite some time, but still her gut wrenched at the thought of going through with it. She rode Tabby quietly through the town, although she was a small horse tonight she gave the presence of a much larger animal, picking up her hooves in a smooth but fast pace, like the animals of the palace. Her mane and tail had been dyed to rid her of the brownish streaks that were her name sake and she glistened ebony all over. She was wearing the finest tack fit for any noble horse and on her back rode what to anybody like a fine noble lady looking weary about being out so late. Riding side saddle she wore a sensible but obviously expensive green gown the fall over the horses flanks with grace, her hair done up tight in a bun she gripped the horses reins in false fear, her eyes likewise glancing around in fake weariness.
Bringing tabby to a trot she rode up to the palace gates her breathe coming in short bursts as if from fear. The man at the gate tensed but by the look of her she definitely belonged hear... but still what was she doing out so late.
"Excuse me sir!" Shaquina yelled almost in hysterics "I need to see Lady Ruella right away "It is most urgent, my brother you see"
the man barely questioned the young girl and Shaquina smiled secretly at their foolishness. Cantering Tabby inside the gates she headed toward the stable, but did not house the mare inside. Morgan who had up until this point been covered by a charm was uncovered when he took the magic token of his head.
Shaquina passed his the reins with a smile at his excitement "now if anybody come, tell them that you are just minding Lady Deiths horse until she returns as she is delivering a message to her cousin's aunt. A lady in waiting to Lady Dalila of Naxon." Smiling as he nodded seriously Shaquina knew that whatever happened he would come out on the better end of this, she would make sure of it.
Then quickly and speedily she slipped inside the palace doors unnoticed.
Coming across a plain looking door a wide grin spread across her face and she prepared a number of bought enchantments that would get her inside the door. Smiling as after twenty minutes of working in absolute silence and moving into the shadows when a guard approached, the door finally swung open.
And Shaquina entered the palace room of the spyemaster.
After twenty 40minutes of sitting relaxed in an arm chair and going through files Shaquina finally found what she was after and she held the page up with an evil grin moving over her features. Then it was all action folding the piece of paper up she slid it inside her top and placed everything back in the room in record time, exactly the way it was. Then packing up the rest of her things she placed them in her bag and silently moved to the door, when she saw no one was coming she moved outside and clicked the door shut.
With a fast yet casually looking pace Shaquina hurried back to the stables, her never now settling in as she realized that all she had to do now was escape, the hardest part. Coming up to the stables she frowned as she saw that two men were with Tabby and Morgan. Running now she moved over to the two men, one had a hand on Morgan the other had hands around Tabby's reins.
"Is there a problem gentlemen?" she asked innocently, the men turned around, the swords were drawn and they wernt looking happy. Shaquina knew she was going to be taken for questioning, she couldn't let that happen, drawing a veil over her face she began. In a few short moments acting on the element of surprise she knocked one of the men unconscious and after a few moments struggle she fought of the other man, a knife in his side. Then mounting up she swung Morgan into the saddle behind her and galloped as fast as Tabby could go, which was faster then horses twice her size. and ran up to the front gate, the guard was standing there in her way and Shaquina quickly threw a knife aiming for his shoulder. She didn't want to kill any palace goers, the news would spread to rapidly. Already she may have ruined her chances. Then with Tabby rearing slightly to push the gate open that little bit further they were of. Fading into the forest, Morgan clinging for dear life to Shaquina's waist. And Tabby's hooves moving far faster then those following her were counting on.
