Roselin walked outside with Tyko and looked around the place. It seemed nice and she was excited to see the ponies and horses. She smiled at the thought of seeing the trainees skittish around the mean mountain ponies. It was going to be fun to watch.

Ruella walked quickly across the courtyard, she had arrived in Corus only that morning, and had been kept busy every moment since then. Now, she was hoping to return to her rooms for at least a few moments peace, although she doubted it would last long....

Roselin waved a greeting to the passing Lady. She seemed to be flustered and in a rush so Roselin didn't want to keep her.

Ruella gave the girl a distracted nod, still walking, but then halted and did a double-take. The girl sparked with copper fire. It seemed she might be the one that Dalila had been telling her about.

Roselin smiled nervously. She wasn't sure why she had stopped to look at her, and she hoped it wasn't a bad thing. 'Tyko, what do you think she wants?' 'She probably noticed.' She didn't have to ask what. Roselin knew what Tyko ment.

Ruella gave a friendly smile as she wandered over to the girl. "Forgive me, but might you be Roselin?" she asked, holding a polited hand out to Tyko as well in greeting

Roselin nodded."Yes, I am." Tyko gave the woman a polite like on the hand.

Ruella smiled again. "I'm Ruella of fief Aili... I'm also the Dean of the Mage school in the City of the Gods," although Ruella didn't think care very much about titles, she knew she had to exaplin exactly who she was for what she said to make sense. "I've been speaking to a friend of mine - Lady Dalila - She said you might be interested in becoming a novice at my school?" she said the last phrase as more of a question than a statement, waiting for an answer

Roselin's nervousness faded and she smiled excitedly."Yes thats right. I would love to become a novice at your school and learn as much about my wild magic as possible."She realised she was being quite rude and calmed herself."Forgive me. It is a pleasure to meet you Lady Ruella." Tyko sniffed, a kind of dog mocking. She glared at him slightly.

Ruella grinned, delighted at the girl's excitement. "Well I must organize some things first, like finding you a mentor. Do you have somewhere to stay in the city?"

"Yes, I am staying with Lady Dalila. I am to help her with the trainees."She said with a nod. Thinking for a moment, she discovered something."That want interfer with my studies will it?" She was afraid she'd have to choose one or the other. She wanted to study her magic badly, but she had made a promise to help Dalila.

Ruella thought for a moment. "It shouldn't interfere too much, but that depends on who you get for a mentor. It will be up to them, and where they are needed." She shrugged. "But things here have a way of working out."

She gave a sigh of relief."Well thats good. When will I get a mentor?" 'This is boring. I'm going for a look around.'said Tyko dryly and started to walk away. "You had better stay out of trouble. I'm sure people around here aren't used to seeing a wolf walking around."she replied. Realising she had said this out loud, Roselin blushed. "Sorry, its part of my magic, communicating with animals."she replied shyly.

Ruella laughed. "I know. I was taught by the mages Veralidaine Sarrasri and Numair Salmalin among others." She watched Tyko wandering off. "As for your mentor, I don't know. It depends how many of my colleagues are close enough to get a message to quickly... and also how long I take to get through my work. If you call in to my office in the next few days, I'll see what I've worked out, but I have a lot to get through. I always forget how much work builds up while I'm away." She sighed.

She nodded."Yes I can see how that is a problem. I'll be sure to drop by in a couple days. I'm not in a huge rush, take as much time as you need. I have plenty to keep myself occupied until then."
