Dalila entered the courtyard with a bored expression on her face, Sniffing in disgust at the empty courtyard Dalila begun to swing her sword slowly in practiced movements slowly getting faster as she waited for somebody to practice with or talk to.

Diane walked into the courtyard already sweating from working her horses and trying to get the little ones to listen. She fingered the hilt of the practice sword at her waist wishing she could go bathe. She spotted Dalila and walked over to her still out of sword range. "Hello, that's a nice blade you have."

"Thank you" she said noticing the page and stopping her practice. From the look of her she had been at a lesson.

"sorry i'm such a mess, i was riding my horses and trying to get the little ones to listen to me. They are twin colts and a huge handful." she said sheepishly.

Dalila smiled "Twins must be a handful"

Diane smiled, "Yes they are, and they have the same personality too, stubborn but will do anything if you ask in the night way. You work with the riders don't you, maybe ya could help me sometime?"

Dalila smiled. "Sure I'd be happy to, my stallion Talis can be a bit of a handful sometimes as well"

Diane smiled. "I guess you know how i feel then. I've got their father, he's a very energetic handful."

Dalila raised an eyebrow wondering how the girl found time for three horses while training. "Are you training to be a knight?"

Diane nodded, "Yes this is my fourth year."

Dalila was impressed, she must work harder then most to keep care of three horses and train she thought to herself.
"you'll be a squire next year then?" Dalila asked although she knew the answer. Wondering if perhaps this girl would make a good squire next year for her. If she was still training the riders, she probably wouldn't accept the proposal, she would probably find it far to boring. But you never know.

Diane nodded again "Yes, its hard work tkeeping up with my studies and horses but almost over. I would like to be squire to someone that knows training horses."

Dalila smiled "Well i might be looking for a squire next year. It will involve allot of work with horses but not allot of action in the field. That is if i stay with the riders, i might decide i need some more fun next year" she said with a shrug "Anyway, i might bring it up with you again toward the end of the year. "I could teach you allot about horses in either case"

"That might be fun," Diane said with a smile. She wouldn't be sorry not to kill many people. She was more comfortable with healing than killing since her father didn't fight much and her mother was a healer.

"excellent" Dalila remarked "I know being in your fourth year you will be very busy. But if you want to come and see what i do with the riders at any time feel free"
