Shaquina moved quickly and quietly determined to work out the heirarchy within this place. Moving to sit near the bar she looked expectantly over the bar waiting to be served. Smiling gracefully at anyone who cared to look her way. She was in a good mood, to her own surprise. But she was planning on making the most of it.

Evelyne leaned against the bar top, gazing at the femme. "What can I get ya?" she asked dully as if she were bored. "We've got some good wine out tonight."

Dalila grinned at the girl her teeth almost looking predatory. "A wine would be great" she said and tossed a couple of coins the girls way.

The girl examined the coin, then nodded to the femme, tossing one back to her. "Those who are friends receive a cheaper price," she muttered, a sweet smile spreading accross her lips. Filling up a goblet with wine, the girl slid it to the femme. "When did you get here?" she asked, leaning against the counter.

Face shadowed by a black silk cloak Daine strode up to the counter. Ah, she knew this girl waiting on people, being no stranger here, but not the other person. "Evelyne i'll have some wine if ya have a good stock tonight." she said as she laid down a couple of coins. "If ya tell my da about this it'll mean trouble for ya, ya here? He still thinks i'm too young to be here late at night, it's alright with him i have wine, ya know..."
Moving over to sit next to the new person she said, "hello, ya new here? i've neva seen your face around here before."

Deith smiled back at the girl and took a swig from her wine as she slipped her coin back inside her pocket. "Yesterday actually, crowds were terrible" she pulled a face supposing it was because of Beltane. "I'm Shaquina by the way"
she then turned toward the new comer slightly "Got here yesterday" she replied a half smile on her face, unsure of the girl.

Evelyne took the coins, slipping them into her purse while pouring the newcomer some whine. "Aye, Diane, you know I don't talk to yer da. Besides, he knows nothing about the real life, being pampered as he is. No chit is too young fer some good drink, long as ya know how much to serve `em."
Holding out her hand to Shaquina, the girl replied, "Evelyne...Evy fer short. And this here is Lady Diane `o Olau, but she aint no lady when she comes here." The girl winked at Diane, remembering the first time she tasted wine, the drink being too strong for her first.

Diane took a sip, " Ah this time ya don't try an cheat me offa my coin, last time, well that wasn't proper wine. And what do you mean by sayin i'm a lady at all."glancing off at a man in the corner she said" Now my da, he's not too pampered to come down here at night and he might be drunk but don't say my name too loudly."
To Shaniqua," aw don't worry bout me, i know most of what's goin on in the city cuz of my da an i don't go blabbing it all offa the rooftops."

"Diane, don't go confusin' people. When you have a bit much to drink, you sure don't act like no lady to me...no noble lady I mean. You dance around with the rest o' us folks, and laugh, tell crude jokes. It's like yer a commoner, but a decent one at that."

"Aw evelyne i have no intention of beng a lady, i'de prefer breeches to dresses any day" Diane said with a smile. "Pay no attention to her Shaniqua. I do what i want when i want an i don't act like no noble lady. I'm only 14"

Evelyne grinned at the two females, her attention once again going to Diane. "So, how goes yer training ta be a knight-Oy! Excuse me a moment," she said, frowning as she glared at some men who began to brawl due to being drunk.
Rushing over to them from behind the counter, Evelyne tried to talk them into calming down, and just received a punch for her efforts. Sprawled out on the ground, she clenched her fists, her blood boiling. Swiftly, the girl got onto her feet, and thrust her elbow into one man's gut while pointing a knife at the other man's throat.
"I'll have no fightin' here! Take it outside, and don't come back. A bunch of pigs ye are!"
The girl shoved one man out the door, while walking the other outside, the knife still pointed at him. Once she was sure they were gone, she relaxed, walking back inside, her knife put back into its hidden holder in her tunic sleeve. Pulling up a seat next to the two females, Evelyne ran her fingers through her glossy locks. "Sorry `bout that. I spose they had more'n what they should. What were we talking about? Oh yes, your training, Diane."

Shaquina listened to the conversation with a slight smirk on her face. Impressed with the girls fighting ability's she raised an eyebrow. Turning to Diane she smiled "Training to be a night eh? I hear thats not one of the easiest things to do" she replied conversationally.

Diane had to smile, these people didn't know the half of it." Well it's not that hard since i had a lot of teachers before i started and i'm gonna be a squire come next year. The difficult part is trying not tolet on i know street and knife fighting."

Evelyne grinned wolfishly, "learned from the best ye did lass, if I do say so myself. Us rogues make mighty fine teachers."
Looking at Shaquina, the girl leaned back in her seat. "So, what is it that you know to do? I wish to learn fightin on a horse, which Diane here will help me out with I'm sure," she said with a quick glance at Diane. "It seems silly, but I wish I lived in the palace, and could be a knight. It seems so exciting and adventerous," she remarked, her emerald eyes seemingly to glaze over as she daydreamed.

Diane nodded her grey eyes flashing with amusemant. "Aye, that i did evelyne, and it does help that the master of tricks and thievery, if i do say so, is married to my sister. Of course i'll help ya out, fighting on horseback is great specially when your horse does things before being asked."
